Abstract

Leucorrhoea is discharge other than blood from the vaginal canal out of habit, which can be accompanied by odor and itching. To overcome leucorrhoea, a pharmacological approach can be taken by administering drugs and a non-pharmacological approach by administering betel leaf decoction. Betel leaf contains antibacterial and antifungal compounds, especially essential oil with the main component of phenol, which has high antiseptic and antioxidant properties and is antibacterial. at the Alyasini Islamic boarding school. The research method used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 17 female adolescents who experienced pathological vaginal discharge, and the study was conducted in the period June-July 2023. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate methods with statistical tests carried out using the Paired sample T-Test. This indicated that giving boiled water Red betel leaf has a significant effect on the incidence of pathological vaginal discharge with a p-value of <0.000. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that young women who experience pathological flour albus can apply red betel leaf boiled water as a non-pharmacological drug
